A CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) stores energy in a capacitor and dumps it into the ignition coil all at once for a hotter, faster spark than a standard low-voltage inductive ignition system. The Go Spark CDI fires multiple sparks below 2,500 RPM for better cold start and idle quality, then delivers full energy single sparks at higher RPM. Works with your existing distributor and pairs with FiTech fuel injection systems.

Ready-to-run distributors include a built-in electronic ignition control module and only need three wires to connect. Mechanical and vacuum advance models handle timing through the distributor. Dual pickup and EFI/EST models are designed for FiTech EFI systems with ECU-controlled timing. Chevy V8, Ford, Cadillac, Pontiac, and Buick/Olds/Jeep/AMC V8 applications covered.

Not necessarily, but worn or low-quality ignition wire can limit spark energy. FiTech offers ceramic 8mm spark plug wire sets for SBC, BBC, LS, and LT engines. Quality plug wires keep the high voltage signal clean from the ignition coil or distributor cap to each spark plug. Using the wrong spark plug or a worn wire can cause misfires even with a new coil.

The Go Spark ignition coil is an oil-filled round coil with matched impedance for the FiTech CDI. Using a coil with the wrong impedance can damage the ignition module. The CDI + coil combo bundles are both so the parts are matched. A good starting point if you're replacing original equipment ignition parts.

Eligible new Go Spark ignition products purchased by the original consumer from an authorized dealer are covered by FiTech’s three-year limited warranty. Distributor caps and rotors are excluded as wear items, while separately purchased replacement parts carry a one-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects.
