Drive By Wire

Drive by wire replaces the throttle cable between your gas pedal and throttle body with an electronic signal. A pedal position sensor reads your foot input and the ECU controls the throttle plate through an electric motor. No cable to route, no brackets to mount, no mechanical linkage to adjust. Your engine bay stays cleaner and your throttle response gets sharper. Drive by wire also opens the door to electronic cruise control and stability control features that depend on the ECU managing throttle position independently.

If you're starting an LS swap from scratch, a complete Rebel LS or Nitro Port LS drive-by-wire system gives you the intake manifold, fuel rails, injectors, DBW throttle body, ECU, and wire harness in one kit. If you already have your own intake and injectors and just want drive-by-wire engine management, the standalone DBW ECU kit lets you pick your own throttle body and throttle pedal.

FiTech offers 92mm and 102mm billet drive-by-wire throttle bodies. The right size depends on your engine's airflow requirements, displacement, and whether you're running forced induction. Yes. Every FiTech drive-by-wire system supports up to 27 PSI of boost and is E85 compatible out of the box. The electronic throttle control works the same whether you're naturally aspirated, supercharged, turbocharged, or running nitrous on a Nitro Port LS system.

Yes. The electronic throttle control handles throttle position only, operates independently of the brake pedal, and works with any transmission type. If you're running a GM automatic, systems with transmission control manage shift points and firmness. Running a manual transmission or handling the trans separately?
