The Go Shift has the ability to control the shift points, shift firmness when to downshift properly, and all other features involved when controlling the transmission. They’re simple to configure with the supplied color touch screen hand-held controller and can be used to monitor the transmission in real time or can be disconnected when the configuration is completed.

The Go Shift Ford 4R70W Transmission Controller (part number #20012) is for Late AODE/4R70W which is for 98ish-08 transmissions with 7 wire black main transmission connector and 12 pin MLPS (digital range selector, rectangular 12 pin connector)

In general, the AODE was produced from 1992 to approximately 1997–1998. The 4R70 was introduced in 1993 for both Ford cars and trucks, while the 4R70W was primarily produced from around 1996–1997 through 2007.

Beginning in 1996, most applications were equipped with the “wide ratio” (lower first gear) gear set, with F-Series trucks receiving these wide ratio gears as early as 1994. As with many Ford applications, some variations and exceptions may apply.
