Description

Medium fitment for open fitting chassis

Sump Oil Capacity –   5.7 Qts

Can be used anywhere a FiTech Medium Profile oil pan can be used but where more clearance for stroker crank is required. Can be used anywhere a GM F-Body oil pan can be used.

This oil pan fits most 1955-1987 GM muscle cars and trucks.

 

OEM oil filter mounting, OEM oil cooler port provision, OEM engine NVH suppression, OEM flange gasket and sealing, proper structural rigidity and OEM bell-housing attachments.

 

  • High-quality cast aluminum appearance with clean exterior styling in three finish options
  • Complete kit including sump baffle, pick-up tube, sump plug, oil filter stud & oil passage cover
  • Universal pan may not directly fit chassis without slight adjustment to engine location. Engine may need to be adjusted for cross member, steering linkage clearance, steering configuration and chassis type.
  • Works with standard off the shelf oil filters: AC Delco PF48 or PF48E, Mobil M1-113, Wix 57060 and K&N HP-1017
  • Not intended to be used with engines that originally utilized a dry sump system
  • There are LS engine applications that have a plug installed in the dipstick hole location to be used with this oil pan. This plug will need to be removed before the oil pan is installed on the engine to allow the installation of the proper dipstick tube.
  • Uses OEM LS3 Dipstick and Dipstick Tube (GM 12669528 & GM 12625031)
  • Designed to use a GM “F-body” windage tray, GM P/N 12558253 with required modification to the windage tray to provide clearance to the pick-up tube. A full-length windage tray may be used if the tray is shortened and also cut to provide clearance to the pick-up tube.
  • The internal rotating assembly to oil pan clearance provided in the front half of the oil pan is patterned after a GM 98-02 LS1 oil pan.
