It depends on how much you want to change. Force Fuel mounts under the hood and works with your existing gas tank and fuel line, making it the simplest option for most daily driver and weekend builds. In-tank retrofit kits drop into your existing fuel tank for a cleaner, quieter install. If your old tank is rusted or you want the right tank built for fuel injection from the start, a direct-fit EFI fuel tank is the cleanest long-term option.

It depends on your setup. FiTech throttle body EFI systems have a built-in fuel pressure regulator. Regulated in-tank modules also include one. If you're running an inline pump or a standard in-tank module without a built-in regulator, you'll need an external fuel pressure regulator to hold 58 PSI.

Not by itself. A stock mechanical fuel pump delivers low-pressure fuel that won't run an EFI system at 58 PSI. But it can feed a Force Fuel system. Your mechanical fuel pump acts as a lift pump, filling the Force Fuel reservoir, where an internal electric fuel pump takes over and delivers high pressure to the engine.

Start with a quality inline fuel filter and inspect it periodically. Running clean fuel through your fuel injectors is the best preventative maintenance. A fuel system cleaner or fuel additive can help maintain fuel flow over time, but regular filter checks come first. If you notice rough idle speed, hesitation, or inconsistent fuel pressure, check the fuel filter before anything else.

FiTech offers returnless fuel delivery options. The regulated in-tank pump modules include a built-in 58 PSI fuel pressure regulator and run on a single fuel line with no return line to the tank. Force Fuel systems also recirculate fuel internally, so no new return line from the engine to the gas tank is required.
